Ceiling fan installation and replacement
New fans, replacements, and fans where only a light used to hang, mounted on a box rated to hold them. Balanced so they don't wobble, wired so the light and fan work the way you want.
Installation only; you supply the fan. $277 for the first fan on an existing fan-rated box, about $180 for each additional fan on the same visit. A light-only box has to be replaced with a fan-rated one first; remotes and wall controls are extra.

Replacing a fan or light on an existing circuit generally needs no permit. Running a new circuit or adding a new switch location can; we say which applies before we start and file it when it does.
It surfaces at resale, in an insurance claim, and in an inspection you did not schedule.
If a bid is dramatically under ours, ask whether the permit is included. Usually that is the difference.

Is the fan included in the price?
No. Our price is the installation; you buy the fan you like and have it on site. The fan-rated box, remote or wall control are parts we supply and are priced on the estimate.
Can a fan go where a light is now?
Usually, but the box has to be rated for a fan. Most light boxes are not, and a fan on the wrong box works loose over time. We swap it for a fan-rated brace box first.
What if there's no box in the ceiling?
We cut in a fan-rated box and run power from a nearby switch or circuit, then patch what we open. That is quoted at the estimate because access varies.
Can the fan and light work separately?
Yes, with two wires to a dual switch, a wall control or a remote. If there is only one switched wire, a remote is usually the cleanest answer.
Can you install a fan on a high or sloped ceiling?
Yes. We size the downrod and use a sloped-ceiling adapter where needed. Very tall ceilings may need a taller ladder or lift, which we price up front.
Do porch and lanai fans need a special fan?
Yes. Use a damp- or wet-rated fan outdoors; indoor fans rust and fail quickly in Florida humidity.
Why does my fan wobble?
Usually unbalanced blades, a loose bracket or a box not made for a fan. The box is the one that matters for safety.
Do I need a permit for a ceiling fan?
Swapping a fan on an existing circuit generally does not. A new circuit or new switch leg can. We tell you which applies before we start.
What is the warranty?
One year on our parts and labor, plus the fan maker's warranty.
