Most like-for-like repairs do not require a permit. Replacing a circuit, adding capacity, or panel work does — and we file it rather than pretending otherwise.
It surfaces at resale, in an insurance claim, and in an inspection you did not schedule.
If a bid is dramatically under ours, ask whether the permit is included. Usually that is the difference.

Why does my breaker keep tripping?
It is doing its job. Either the circuit is overloaded, or there is a short or ground fault. Repeated resetting without finding the cause is how fires start.
Is a warm outlet an emergency?
Treat it as one. Shut that breaker off and call. Warm devices mean a loose connection heating up inside the wall.
Do you charge for the estimate?
Estimates for planned work are free. Diagnostic troubleshooting is $129 because finding the fault is the work — and it is credited toward the repair.
Do you do commercial service calls?
Yes — restaurants, retail, offices and property management accounts, scheduled around your trading hours so you do not close during business.
Can you fix another electrician's work?
A good share of our repair calls are exactly that. We are not interested in trashing anyone, just in making it right.
Same-day service?
Often, and always same-day callback. Genuinely unsafe conditions get moved to the front.
What if it turns out to be nothing?
Then you pay the diagnostic and we tell you it is nothing. That happens, and we would rather say it than invent a repair.
