Panel and service changes require a permit and inspection everywhere in Central Florida, and the utility has to release and reconnect the meter. We coordinate both. Exterior meter-main work always involves the utility; interior swaps sometimes do not, which is part of why they cost less.

What is the difference between an interior and exterior panel replacement?
An interior load center lives in a garage, hallway or closet and is usually the simpler job. An exterior meter-main combination panel sits on the outside wall with the meter, so it involves the meter can, the mast and the utility — more parts, more coordination, more cost.
Do I really need 200 amps?
Not always. If you are not adding load, a 100-amp service in good condition can be fine. We do a load calculation first — if the answer is no, we say no.
How long is the power off?
Typically six to eight hours in one day. We schedule it in the morning so you are back on by dinner.
Who pulls the permit?
We do. Janzie files it, schedules the inspection, and meets the inspector. You handle nothing.
Will you patch the wall?
Yes. If we open drywall we close it. That is part of the job, not a change order.

Does this help my insurance?
Often. Many Florida carriers surcharge or refuse policies on fuse boxes and known-defect panels. Ask your agent before you schedule.
