Not quite. Knob-and-tube is the older system on ceramic insulators; cloth-covered cable came later. Both show up in older Central Florida homes.
Can I get insurance with cloth wiring?+
It is getting harder. A documented partial replacement with a written report often satisfies carriers — check with yours first.
