A short run near the panel is the low end. Long runs, detached garages or a load-sharing device push it up.
Do you need a panel upgrade?
Usually not. A load calculation on your panel tells us for certain. When capacity is tight, a load-management device that shares power intelligently often costs a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand for a service upgrade.

Hardwired or plug-in charger?+
Hardwired is tidier and slightly more efficient. A NEMA 14-50 outlet is more flexible if you change cars.
Do I need a permit for an EV charger?+
Yes. It is a quick permit and a quick inspection, and we file it for you.
