Windermere pools and spas tend to sit far from the main panel, often near a lake, and the house usually has more than one panel. Where the spa circuit is fed from and how everything near the water is bonded are the two things we settle first.
That range is a typical hot tub or swim spa hookup: a dedicated 240-volt circuit and a GFCI disconnect. Short runs from a panel with room are the low end; long or underground runs and panels without space are the top. Pool equipment circuit repairs are diagnosed at our service rate and priced before we fix them.
If you could swap the city name out of this page and it would still be accurate, it should not exist. Here is what actually changes here.
Large custom homes here often have subpanels, sometimes near the pool equipment. Feeding the spa from one can shorten the run, but only if that subpanel has the capacity. We check the load before choosing.
On the Butler Chain, a pool or spa can sit close to docks and boat lifts. Bonding has to be done to standard around all of it, and we check the existing bonding when we add a new circuit.
Many homes here have standby generators. A hot tub heater is a large load, so we confirm whether the spa circuit is on the generator side and whether the generator was sized for it.
Permits go to the Town of Windermere or Orange County for the surrounding unincorporated areas. Duke Energy serves most of the area. Our office files and meets the inspector.
Same ranges we publish everywhere, because the work does not cost more just because of the zip code. You get an exact number at the free estimate.

"After getting the run around from other electricians I came across In Phase. Wish I found them first."
"Unlike some of their competitors, they don't try to up-sell products that aren't strictly necessary."
"Our old panel dated back to 1984 and was overdue for replacement. We worked directly with Keylin, who was outstanding from start to finish."
"…tried to over charge for work that was not even necessary. In Phaze offered an alternative option at a fraction of the cost."
Most 240-volt hot tubs need a 40, 50 or 60 amp circuit; swim spas can need more. The tub's spec sheet decides it, and we size the wire and breaker to match.
Yes. Code requires a disconnect within sight of the tub and at least 5 feet away from the water's edge, and the circuit must be GFCI protected. A GFCI disconnect handles both.
If it is rated for it, it needs its own GFCI-protected outlet on a dedicated circuit, not a shared patio outlet or an extension cord. Many people later convert to 240 volts so it heats faster.
Connecting the pool steel, rails, pump, ladders and nearby metal together so they sit at the same voltage. It is what keeps the water from shocking you. Missing or broken bonding shows up on inspections and should be fixed.
Get everyone out, turn off the pool equipment breakers, and call. Do not swim until it is tested.
We do the electrical side: circuits, disconnects, timers and bonding. The pool company sets the equipment itself.
Free estimate. If you do not need the work, we will tell you — which is why people in Windermere call us back years later.
