Cummins QuietConnect home standby generators (13, 17 and 20 kW air-cooled; liquid-cooled above 25 kW) come from the diesel and truck-engine maker, with parts flowing through its commercial network. They are the quietest air-cooled units we install, at about 65 dBA, and use Cummins Connect Cloud for cellular monitoring.

Yes. We are a licensed Florida electrical contractor (ER13014254) and we install, wire, permit and commission Cummins home standby generators and transfer switches across Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties. We size on your real load first, then recommend the unit.
Plan on $6,500–$9,500 for an essential-circuits standby (10–14 kW) and $9,500–$18,000 for whole-home (18–26 kW), including the transfer switch, pad, electrical and gas permits and a standard fuel run. Installed cost sits between Generac and Kohler for the same kilowatts. The estimate is free and in person.
Essentials (fridge, lights, Wi-Fi, a well) fit in 7.5–10 kW. Add one central AC and you are at 13–14 kW. Whole-home with two AC systems is 22–26 kW. We run a load calculation on site instead of guessing from square footage.
On a level pad outside, with the manufacturer's clearances — typically 18 inches from the house, 5 feet from any window, door or vent, and clear of the AC condenser and gas meter. Orlando-area HOAs often want it screened and on the side yard; we handle the approval paperwork with you.
Noise and engine reputation. If the generator sits near a bedroom window or a neighbor’s lanai, the 65 dBA QuietConnect is the one people stop noticing. Parts are slower to source locally than Generac, which matters most in the weeks after a storm.
